About Halle Market
About Us
The Halle Market is located in the Old Town of Vilnius, at the intersection of Pylimo and Bazilijonų streets, in an attractive location for shoppers.
History
This market place is the oldest in Vilnius, it was built in 1906 according to the design of Vilnius engineer and architect Vaclovas Michnevičius.
The Halle Market has its own traditions and history. Since ancient times, Vilnius residents and city guests have been buying fresh food and industrial goods there.
Since 2002, this market has been administered and operated by UAB “Tugva”, which in 2006 completed the construction of the Halle Market extension and the reconstruction of the century-old central market building.

The path of fresh slaughter: from the farm to your table
At Halle Market, freshness is not a promise – it is a daily process that we manage from the first step. We work only with reliable Lithuanian farms and slaughterhouses, we adhere to the cold chain, the requirements of the State Food Safety Authority, and we cut the meat on site. This way, we ensure that fresh, high-quality, safe and only Lithuanian meat with a real taste arrives on your table: pork, beef, veal, lamb, rabbit and poultry.
Why is this important?
Safety: temperature control and compliance with hygiene, veterinary and sanitary requirements ensure safe production.
Taste: Products grown in Lithuania ensure the highest quality and taste.
Transparency and trust: we know the origin of every carcass and cut and show the process openly.
Responsible use: We conserve the product and nature by cutting out all possible parts of the carcass.
